Learn to drive without being shouted at
Calm lessons at your pace, in a car with dual controls and an instructor who explains before you do it, not after.
What we do
Beginners
From the first time behind a wheel, in a quiet place, with everything explained.
Full courses
Theory and practical to test standard, with the paperwork handled alongside.
Theory
The rules, the signs and the hazard questions, taught rather than handed to you as a book.
Manoeuvres
Parking, hill starts, reversing and the ones that lose people marks on the day.
Test preparation
Mock tests on the real routes, with honest feedback afterwards.
Test day
The application, the car you learned in, and a warm-up drive before you go in.
Refresher lessons
For people with a licence who have not driven for years, or who dread one particular junction.
Motorway and night driving
The parts that come after the test but are on the road from day one.
Intensive courses
Where you need it done quickly and can take the hours.
Automatic lessons
For anybody who would rather not fight a clutch as well.
The car and the school
What you will be learning in, and where we usually start.

From first lesson to test
The route most learners take, at whatever pace suits you.
- Step 1
Paperwork first
The provisional licence and the medical, so nothing holds you up later.
- Step 2
A first lesson
Somewhere quiet, getting used to the car and the controls.
- Step 3
Building up
Roads, junctions and roundabouts, one new thing at a time, theory alongside.
- Step 4
Mock tests
On real test routes, marked the way the examiner marks.
- Step 5
Test day
A warm-up drive beforehand, and the car you learned in.
Questions people ask
What do I need before I start?
A provisional licence and a medical certificate. Ring us first and we will tell you the order to do them in.
What happens in the first lesson?
We find somewhere quiet, talk through the controls, and you drive. Most people are moving within ten minutes.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on you, and anybody who gives you a number before meeting you is guessing.
Can I use your car for the test?
Yes, by arrangement, with the car you have learned in.
Do you teach nervous drivers?
A lot of our work. Say so when you book and we will start slower.
How do I pay?
Lesson by lesson or as a block, whichever suits. Blocks are cheaper per hour.
The schoolTeaching, not just supervising
Anybody can sit beside you while you drive. Teaching is explaining a thing in a way that makes sense to you, and then putting you somewhere you can practise it safely.
We will tell you honestly when you are ready for a test, and when another few lessons would save you the cost of failing one.

Ready to start?
Book one lesson and see how it goes. No block, no commitment.
Book a first lesson
