Fitted wardrobes, shelves, kitchens, doors and stairs, measured on site and made to suit the room — including the corners that are nowhere near square.

Pieces made and fitted, and a few of the rooms before we started.
What we make
Fitted wardrobes
Floor to ceiling, into alcoves and under slopes, with the inside laid out for what you own.
Alcove shelving and cupboards
The pair either side of a chimney breast, made to match each other and the room.
Kitchens
Units, doors and the awkward last cupboard nobody else would make.
Worktops
Solid timber, laminate or board, templated on site and cut around what is already there.
Doors
Hung, adjusted, and made to measure where the frame is no longer a rectangle.
Stairs and handrails
Repairs, replacements and the treads that have creaked for years.
Floors
Laid, sanded and finished, including boards matched into an old floor.
Skirting and architrave
Matched to what is there, so new work does not announce itself.
Desks and shelving
Built in where a room has to work as an office as well.
Repairs
Windows, frames, gates and the jobs too small for anybody else.
From drawing to fitting
Made-to-measure work takes a little longer, and each step is worth it.
- 01
Measure
We come and measure, and talk through timber, finish, fittings and budget.
- 02
Drawing
A simple drawing and an itemised price for you to approve.
- 03
Workshop
Made on the bench, with photographs along the way if you want them.
- 04
Fitting
Scribed and fitted in a day or two, with the dust and the offcuts gone before we leave.
The workshopWork that fits because it was made for the place
Old houses move. Walls lean, floors slope and nothing is the size the tape says it should be — which is why furniture bought in a box leaves gaps and a made piece does not.
We make in the workshop and fit on site, so the dust stays with us and the disruption to you is a day or two rather than a fortnight.

How long does a fitted job take?
Measuring takes an hour, making takes a couple of weeks in the workshop, and fitting is usually a day or two in your house.
What does it cost compared to flat-pack?
More than a box and less than you think. You get the drawing and an itemised quote, so you can see where the money goes.
Solid wood or board?
Depends on the piece and whether it is being painted. We will tell you which we would use and why, rather than selling you the dearer one by habit.
Can you match existing woodwork?
Usually. Send a photograph of what is there and we will tell you honestly.
Do you paint it as well?
We can supply it primed or finished. Say which when you order.
Do you make small things?
Yes — a shelf, a gate, a repair. Small jobs are welcome.
