The shopAn old trade, done well

Clippers, scissors, a razor and a mirror. What makes a barber worth going back to is that the cut is the same every time, and that somebody tells you honestly when it is time to try something else.

There is football on, there is always a conversation, and nobody is rushed out of the chair.

What we do

Your visit

Walk in or book ahead; either way it goes like this.

  1. Step 1

    Take a seat

Walk-ins wait their turn, bookings go straight to the chair.

  2. Step 2

    Say what you want

A grade, a photo, or just how short — and we tell you if it will work with your hair.

  3. Step 3

    The cut

Faded, tapered or scissor cut, finished with a line-up and a hot towel on the neck.

  4. Step 4

    Book the next one

If you want to keep it sharp, we suggest when.

Before you come in

Good to know

Do I need to book?

No, but afternoons get busy. Book if you cannot wait twenty minutes.

How long does a cut take?

About half an hour, a little longer with a beard or a skin fade.

I do not know what to ask for.

Say how short on the sides and how much off the top, and we will take it from there. A photo helps more than a name.

Can I bring my son?

Yes. Mornings are quietest, and there is a board of cuts to point at.

Do you take cards?

Yes, and cash. Whatever you have.

Can I ask for the same barber?

Say the name when you book, or when you walk in and we will tell you the wait.

Getting shaggy?

Ring and we will tell you the wait, or put a time aside for you.
