Somewhere your child is happy to be left
Come and see us on an ordinary day, with no appointment and nothing tidied away first. That is the only way to know.

What matters to parents
- 01Come and look
Visit on a normal day and see what it is actually like, not a show put on for you.
- 02Told about the day
What they ate, what they did, how they slept, and whether anything was hard.
- 03Settling in slowly
Short visits first, at your child's pace, until being left is not frightening.
- 04The same faces
Children do better with people they know, so we work hard to keep ours.
About usLooked after the way you would do it
Small children need the same few things: somebody who notices them, a day with a shape to it, time outside, and grown-ups who are calm when they are not.
So the day has a rhythm — play, outside, lunch, rest, more play — with room in it for a child who is having a difficult morning. We would rather stop and sit with somebody than keep to a plan.

Settling in is gradual, and it goes at your child's pace.
- Step 1
Come and look round
See the rooms, meet the staff and ask everything, on an ordinary day.
- Step 2
Register
We talk through routines, food, sleep, nappies and anything your child needs, and tell you which papers to bring.
- Step 3
Settling-in visits
Short visits first, with you nearby, getting longer each time.
- Step 4
The first full day
And a proper account of it when you collect them.
Questions parents ask
Can I look round first?
Please do, and on an ordinary day rather than a special one. Ask anything while you are here.
How does settling in work?
Short visits first, longer ones next, at your child's pace — not to a timetable.
What do I need to bring to register?
Identification, your child's health record and a note from your doctor. We will give you the full list so nothing holds up the start.
What if my child is upset when I leave?
Most are, briefly. We will tell you honestly how long it lasted, and you can ring any time.
Will you tell me about the day?
Every day: what they ate, how they slept, what they did and anything that was hard.
What about allergies and medicine?
Tell us everything when you register, and we will go through exactly how it is handled and who handles it.
