The surgeryOrdinary medicine, done carefully
We look after families here — the child with an ear infection, the parent with blood pressure to keep an eye on, the grandparent with three conditions and four medicines.
What we aim for is simple: to be reachable, to listen properly, and to explain what we found in words that make sense at home. Where you need a specialist, you get the referral and the reason for it, not a shrug.
What we do
Consultations
Same-week for most things, same-day for anything urgent.
Children
Fevers, rashes, coughs, and the reassurance that comes with being looked at.
Long-term conditions
Blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, cholesterol and thyroid, reviewed on a schedule rather than when they go wrong.
Prescriptions and referrals
New and repeat prescriptions, and referrals to a specialist or for a scan.
Health checks
A full check-up: history, examination, blood pressure, blood sugar and blood tests, with the results explained.
ECG and blood pressure
Done here, read here, and compared with last time.
Blood tests and results
Taken at the surgery, with the results explained by the doctor who ordered them.
Injections and dressings
Injections, drips, wound dressings and stitches out.
Vaccinations
Childhood, travel, seasonal flu and tetanus, by appointment.
Certificates and forms
Sick notes, and certificates for work, driving, sport or a nursery place.
Home visits
For patients who genuinely cannot get here.
The surgery
Reception, the consulting rooms, and where to park.
