A garden you get to sit in
Regular visits that keep on top of it, or one big change that makes it yours again. Both start with a look and an honest opinion.

What we do
- 01Regular maintenanceMowing, edging, weeding and keeping the beds honest, fortnightly or monthly.
- 02ClearanceGardens that have been left. Cut back, dug out, taken away, and a plan for what next.
- 03HedgesCut and shaped at the right time of year, with the cuttings removed.
- 04PruningFruit trees, roses and shrubs, cut in the month that suits the plant rather than the diary.
- 05Tree workReductions and small removals — and an honest word when it is a job for a tree surgeon with a rope.
- 06PlantingBeds and borders chosen for your soil, your light and how much time you have.
- 07LawnsNew turf laid or seed sown, and old lawns brought back from moss, thatch and bare patches.
- 08IrrigationDrip lines and timers, so a fortnight away in August does not undo a year.
- 09Paths, patios and fencingThe hard parts of a garden, built to drain and to last.
- 10Seasonal jobsLeaves in autumn, cutting back in winter, feeding in spring, watering plans for summer.
- 11One-off tidyBefore a party, a viewing or a visit from somebody with opinions.
Our way of working
- 1
Regular or one-off
A fortnightly tidy, or a single job that takes a week and changes everything.
- 2
The right month
Pruning, planting and turf go in when they should, not when it suits the diary.
- 3
Waste taken away
Cuttings, branches and turf gone the same day, not left in a heap.
- 4
Told what is worth doing
And what is money spent on something the garden will undo by August.
Through the seasons
A garden is never finished, so we plan for the whole year.
- Step 1
Walk round
We see the garden with you and hear what you want from it.
- Step 2
A plan and a price
One-off work, or regular visits through the year.
- Step 3
The work
Cut, pruned, planted and cleared, with the waste taken away.
- Step 4
Looked after
Visits that follow the seasons, not just the calendar.
Gardens we look after
Before and after, and a few of them a season later, which is the real test.

How often should somebody come?
Fortnightly in the growing season, monthly in winter, for most gardens. We will tell you what yours needs.
Do you take the waste?
Yes, the same day, included in the price unless it is a full clearance — then we will say so up front.
Can you work if I am out?
Usually, if we can get in. Tell us about gates, dogs and outside taps when you book.
When should a hedge be cut?
It depends on the hedge, and on nesting birds. We will tell you the right month rather than the soonest one.
Will the plants you put in survive?
The right plant in the right place usually does, and we choose for your soil and light. Nobody can promise a plant, and we will not.
Can you design as well as maintain?
We can plan a garden and plant it. For a full design with drawings, we will tell you who to ring.

The businessGardens looked after by somebody who likes plants
A garden is not a room: it grows back, it has opinions about shade and soil, and half of looking after one is knowing what to leave alone.
We do the hard work — hedges, edges, clearing, planting — and tell you plainly what your garden needs next month rather than selling you everything at once.
