Most of what we do is not selling: it is sizing, mending, restringing and cleaning the pieces people already own — including the ones that are only valuable to one family.
When somebody is buying for an occasion, the job is to listen first. The right piece is usually simpler than the one they came in asking for.
Bringing something in
Bring the whole piece, including any parts that have come away — a missing stone in an envelope is worth more than a description of it.
If you are buying for somebody else, bring a ring they already wear if you can. It is the simplest way to get the size right without asking them.

What happens after you hand something over the counter.
- Step 01
Show us
We look at it with you, under a loupe, and say what can be done.
- Step 02
An estimate
The work, the cost and how long it takes, before we start.
- Step 03
The work
Done here at the bench, not sent away, unless we tell you otherwise.
- Step 04
Collect it
Cleaned, polished, checked, and shown to you before you take it home.
