Chosen carefully, mended properly
Pieces worth keeping, and a workshop that will repair the ones you already have. Bring it in and we will tell you what it needs before we touch it.
What we stand by
Told the price firstRepairs done hereTime to decideSized and fitted
- 01For a repair, before any work starts; for a piece, with nothing hidden in it.
- 02Most of them at our own bench, so your piece does not travel.
- 03Nothing is rushed, and nothing is pushed. Come twice if you want to.
- 04Rings sized while you wait where we can, chains shortened to sit right.
What we do
01Rings
Engagement, wedding and the ones bought for no reason at all.
02* Repairs
Broken chains soldered, worn claws retipped, cracked shanks rebuilt — mended to last, not glued.
03Resizing
Rings made larger or smaller, and finished so you cannot tell where.
04Clasps and fittings
New clasps, safety catches and earring backs, so a piece stops living in a drawer.
05Restringing
Pearls and beads knotted between each one, the way they were meant to be.
06Cleaning and rhodium plating
Brought back to life, with white gold replated and every setting checked before a stone goes missing.
07Watches
Batteries, straps, pressure testing and servicing, with the ones we cannot do sent to somebody who can.
08Engraving
Names, dates and the short things people want to say.
09Remodelling
An inherited piece made into something that actually gets worn.
10Made to order
Designed with you and made at the bench, from a drawing you approve first.
11For insurance
Photographs and a written description of what we worked on; a formal valuation is a separate job and we will point you to it.

Most of what we do is not selling: it is sizing, mending, restringing and cleaning the pieces people already own — including the ones that are only valuable to one family.
When somebody is buying for an occasion, the job is to listen first. The right piece is usually simpler than the one they came in asking for.

Questions people ask
01Can you fix this?
Bring it in and we will look at it while you wait, then tell you what it needs and what it costs.
02How long does a repair take?
Simple work is often the same week. Anything sent away takes longer, and we will tell you before you leave it.
03Can you resize a ring?
Most of them. Some settings, and some metals, cannot be — and we will say so rather than risk the piece.
04How do I know what size to buy?
Bring a ring they already wear, or come in and we will size your finger properly. Guessing costs a resize later.
05Do you buy pieces?
Ask at the counter. We will tell you honestly what we can do and where else to try.
06What if it is only sentimental?
That is most of what comes in. It gets the same care as anything else.
