How we can help
Buying and selling property
Contracts drawn and checked, the title confirmed, the taxes and registration dealt with, and the whole thing chased so it does not sit on somebody's desk.
Wills and estates
Wills, powers of attorney, and dealing with an estate after a death.
Family
Separation, children and finances, handled calmly and without making it worse.
Employment
Dismissals, unpaid wages, contracts and settlements, from either side.
Business
Contracts, company matters, partnerships and the disputes that come out of them.
Debt and enforcement
Getting a debt recognised and then actually collected, which are two different jobs.
Disputes
Negotiation first, court only when it is the right answer and the sums justify it.
Landlord and tenant
Agreements, deposits, repairs and possession.
Documents and residence
Applications prepared carefully, with what is needed listed up front.
One-off advice
An hour to find out where you stand, with no obligation to go further.

Working with us
What happens after you first get in touch.
- Step 1
Tell us what happened
A short call, and an honest answer about whether it is something we deal with.
- Step 2
A first meeting
We look at the papers and tell you where you stand and what the deadlines are.
- Step 3
What it will cost
The fees and the likely steps, in writing, before any work starts.
- Step 4
We act
And tell you what has happened at each stage without you having to ask.
Questions people ask
- What will it cost?
- You get that in writing before work starts — a fixed fee where one is possible, and a clear basis where it is not.
- Does the first conversation cost anything?
- Tell us what it is about and we will say what that first conversation costs, before it happens.
- How long will it take?
- It depends on the matter and on other people involved. We will give you a realistic range, not a hopeful one.
- Is there a deadline I should know about?
- Almost always, and it is the first thing we check. Tell us the dates on any letter you have received.
- Can you promise a result?
- No. Nobody can honestly promise an outcome, and you should be careful of anybody who does.
- Will I deal with the same person?
- Yes, one person is responsible for your matter and you will have their details.
