About us
The studioAn hour that is actually yours
Nails are a small thing that changes how you feel about your hands all month, so we take the time: cuticles tidied, shape agreed, colour chosen in the light rather than from a photograph.
We will tell you honestly when your nails need a rest, and what to do for a fortnight instead.

Clean, careful and without rushing.
- Step 1Choose the look
Colour, shape and length, with examples to point at.
- Step 2Prepare
Old colour off, nails shaped and cuticles tidied.
- Step 3The set
Applied thin and cured properly, with tools cleaned between every client.
- Step 4Aftercare
How to keep them looking good, and when to come back for an infill.
The short version
- 01Clean between every client
Tools sterilised, files and buffers new or yours, kept in your own box.
- 02Prepared properly
Most of the hour is the preparation. That is why it lasts.
- 03Removal done right
Soaked off, never scraped or picked, so the nail underneath stays whole.
- 04Told the time and the price
Both before we start, so nothing is a surprise at the end.
Looking after them at home
Oil on the cuticles every evening does more than anything else. Gloves for washing up, and do not use them as tools — that is what opens the edge and lets water underneath.
If one lifts, come in and we will fix it rather than letting you pick at it. If a nail is sore, red or growing in at the side, see a doctor rather than us.
