What we do

Prescription medicines
Dispensed while you wait where we can, ordered in where we cannot.
Over the counter
For the things that do not need a doctor, with a straight answer about what actually helps.
Advice at the counter
Coughs, colds, skin, stomachs, and whether it is time to see a doctor.
Medicines review
A look at everything you take together, what clashes, and what can be simplified.
Blood pressure and blood sugar
Measured here and written down, so you have something to show the doctor.
Prepared on the premises
Creams, ointments and mixtures made up to a doctor's formula.
Baby and child
Feeding, fevers, teething, and the things nobody warns new parents about.
Supplements and skincare
Vitamins, minerals and dermocosmetics, recommended only where they do something.
Medical and orthopaedic aids
Dressings, tests, supports, compression stockings, crutches and belts.
Travel
What to take with you, and what to ask a doctor for before you go.
Deliveries
For people who cannot get out, by arrangement.

A few things people ask for, paid for here and collected or delivered.

No appointment
Come in and ask. Most questions are answered at the counter in a minute.
Ordered in
If we do not have it, we usually have it the next working day.
A quiet word
There is a private room for anything you would rather not say at the counter.
Checked against the rest
We look at what you already take before we hand anything over.

The counter, the consultation room, and where to find us on the street.

Can you tell me whether I need a doctor?

Often, yes. Describe what is going on and we will tell you honestly whether it is one for us or one for them.

Do you have it in stock?

Ring or message and we will look while you wait on the line. If not, most things arrive the next working day.

Is there a cheaper equivalent?

Usually. Ask, and we will tell you what the generic is and whether it is the same medicine.

Can somebody else collect my prescription?

Yes. They should know your name, address and what they are collecting.

Is there somewhere private to talk?

Yes. Ask, and we will step into the room at the side.

Are you open on Sunday?

Our hours are below, and holiday times are posted on the door and on our page.
