Roofing
What we do
Leaks
Found — which is most of the work — then fixed and checked in the rain if we can.
Re-roofing
Stripped back, membrane and battens renewed, and recovered, with the timber checked underneath.
Tiles and slates
Slipped, cracked or missing, replaced to match what is there.
Ridge and verge
Re-bedded or dry-fixed, which is where half of a windy night's damage starts.
Flat roofs
Repaired or recovered in felt or membrane that lasts, not the cheapest roll on the shelf.
Chimneys and flashings
Repointed, re-flashed and sealed — where most old leaks actually come from.
Sheet metal work
Valleys, flashings, cappings and anything the rain runs along rather than off.
Gutters and downpipes
Cleared, repaired and replaced, and set to actually fall the right way.
Fascias and soffits
Replaced where they have gone, so the roof edge stops rotting.
Roof timbers
Rafters and battens repaired or replaced where the damp got there first.
Loft insulation and ventilation
Warm below, ventilated above, so the roof is not damp from the inside.
Inspections
A written report with photographs, for buyers, sellers and insurance.

How a roof job goes
A roof is inspected before it is priced, and photographed before it is covered.

Inspection
We get up there and photograph what we find, inside the loft as well as outside.
- 02
Quote

- 03
Safe site
Scaffold or access set up, the house sheeted, and the garden protected.
- 04
The work
Stripped, checked, recovered, and made watertight at the end of each day.
- 05
Sign-off
Photographed again, gutters cleared, and everything taken away.

Questions people ask
Water is coming in now. What do I do?
Put a bucket under it, move what you can, and ring us. A temporary cover can go on quickly, even in bad weather.
Do I need a whole new roof?
Often not. We will show you photographs and tell you honestly how long a repair would hold.
How long does a re-roof take?
Most houses are a few days, weather permitting. We will give you a date and tell you if the forecast changes it.
The leak is nowhere near the stain. Why?
Water runs along a rafter before it drops. That is why we look in the loft as well as on the roof.
Is scaffolding included?
If the job needs it, it is in the quote — never added afterwards.
Do you do insurance work?
Yes, including the report and photographs your insurer will ask for.
