About me
The practiceOrdinary difficulties, taken seriously
People come here when something has become too heavy to carry alone: a loss, a fear that has grown, a relationship that hurts, a stretch of feeling nothing much at all.
We work at what you bring, in the order you want to bring it. Nothing is dragged out of you, and you are never asked to perform being fine.

What to expect before you commit to anything.
- Step 01
Get in touch
A short message is enough. You do not need to explain everything.
- Step 02
A first call
To see whether we are a good fit, with no charge.
- Step 03
The initial session
Talking about what brought you, at your pace, and what you want to be different.
- Step 04
Agree the arrangement
How often we meet, how long for, and how we will know whether it is working.
What you can expect
- 01Start with a conversationA short talk first, to see whether we are a good fit. No commitment.
- 02What you say stays hereConfidential, with the few legal exceptions explained in the first session.
- 03Your paceWeekly to begin with, usually. You decide when to stop, and you can pause.
- 04In person or onlineWhichever gets you through the door, or to the screen, more easily.
What an hour here is like
We sit down and you talk. I listen, ask questions, and sometimes say what I notice. Nothing is written about you that you could not read.
If something urgent is happening and you cannot wait for an appointment, contact your doctor or the emergency services. This is not an emergency service, and saying so plainly matters more than sounding available.
