The clinic

Most of our days are vaccinations, itchy skin, sore ears, teeth that need doing and old friends who need watching. We do the routine work carefully and the difficult work honestly.
You know your animal better than we do. What they are like at home is half the diagnosis, so tell us everything, even the parts that seem silly.
A visit to us
From the waiting room to going home.
- Step 1
Book or call
Tell us what is wrong, and we tell you how soon to come.
- Step 2
The examination
A careful look, with you there, explained as we go.
- Step 3
Your options
What we recommend, what it costs, and the alternatives.
- Step 4
Going home
Medicines explained, and a call if you are worried later.
What to expect
Seen today
Ring in the morning if something is wrong. We keep slots back for exactly that.
The price first
You are told what it will cost before we start, and told again if that changes.
Your decision
We explain the options, including doing nothing, and you choose.
Calm handling
Unhurried, on the floor if that suits them better, with treats in the drawer.
Before you come in
Bring the vaccination book and any medicine they are on, and think about when the problem started and what has changed since. If they have been off their food or drinking more than usual, say so — small things like that are often the useful ones.
Cats travel better in a carrier with something from home in it. Dogs are welcome to wait outside with you if the waiting room is too much for them.
